To celebrate AAPI month, Tonia Yiu and I worked on a collab together! We both created an animation about our Chinese names. The name that was given to me by my orphanage is 江茜茜 Jiāng Qiàn Qiàn (last name, then first).

 

江 = river

茜 = alizarin red, or a type of plant called madder (think like orange is a color, but also a fruit)

茜茜 = the name Qiàn Qiàn
