Jiang Qian Qian
An animation of the Chinese name that was given to me by my orphanage, 江茜茜 Jiāng Qiàn Qiàn.
My last name, 江 Jiāng, was given to everyone who entered the orphanage that year. It means "river."
茜 qiàn is a type of grass that can be processed to produce red dye. It also refers to the color alizarin red, which symbolizes good luck, happiness, beauty, and success in Chinese culture. 茜茜 Qiàn Qiàn is a feminine name.
For this personal project, I was inspired by the opening scene of Mulan (1998).
